You will need to tell Hostgator which domain name you have selected to add to your Hostgator self hosting Cpanel * so make sure you type this in very carefully or when you come to start using WordPress you will find your new site does not exist!
After completing the “add on domain” part of the process, you will then have to install WordPress onto your new domain and to do that using WordPress you need to look back in your Cpanel Home Page and find the blue smiley face symbol called FANTASTICO.
Select from the drop down menu your new domain
Follow the instructions to include your Admin & Password * make a note of these and then click FINISH
You will see WordPress has generated two links – one hide database to your site and one to your new WordPress Log In, you should bookmark both of these. Then to start using WordPress, simply go to your WordPress Log In, enter your Admin & Password and you will find yourself staring face to face with your WordPress Dashboard.

Now that is of course just simply the beginning
